The detectives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have accused a Federal High Court judge, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of lying to avoid arrest or interrogation.

According to reports, Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia on Wednesday told EFC officials by phone that she was on admission in a Lagos hospital in Ikoyi, as an excuse why she could not respond to the anti-graft agency’s invitation for interrogation in the last two days. She further claimed he was admitted into the “intensive care unit” of Golden Cross Hospital on Bourdillon Road in Ikoyi.
An attempt by the EFCC to pay her a  visit showed she had not been the hospital since 13th of October 2016
